What is a "RAC"?
The Duke Regional Advisory Committee (DRAC) is a partnership between a lead trauma facility (Duke University Hospital as the Level I Trauma Center) and the trauma care providers within the region. The DRAC currently has fifteen partner agencies consisting of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), hospitals, and health care clinics.
The driving principle of the DRAC is to continue building a robust collaboration between the Level I Trauma Center and its partner agencies to promote outstanding trauma care. As the lead agency, we offer our partners trauma education, performance improvement opportunities, injury prevention education, and disaster response guidance.
